Retro Promotional Products

As we step into the new year, our team is taking a look at the past for inspiration. We know many of our clients are beginning to think about advertising specialties, customer premiums, and promotional giveaways over the next year, so our minds have headed in that direction.

I tend to think of the success of Coca-Cola gifts I've seen over the years and in thrift shops. The TY Beanie Babies campaign by McDonald’s Happy Meals also stick in my memory. I also remember receiving all sorts of swag (courtesy of her parents) branded with black/red plaid and a cowboy.

Shana and Chris have been building up a collection of antique "depression glass," which also glows under UV light. Chris recently discovered a set of McKee plates that were given out as a customer premium by Sego Milk in 1937. It turns out the (harmless) uranium ore content makes them glow under a modern UV light.
