Masha, Nina, Katya (Chernobyl Roof Levels) - 3 Shot Glass Set

Inspired by /u/mrssupersheen on, this set of shot glasses feature the names of the three levels of the power station's roof as mentioned during episode 4 of the Emmy-nominated HBO miniseries Chernobyl.

From the HBO description of the episode at "As mandatory evacuations in the exclusion zone begin, Shcherbina and Legasov bring in General Tarakanov for advice on the use of remote-controlled lunar rovers to remove debris too radioactive for human contact. When the radiation proves too dangerous for lunar rovers, Legasov and Shcherbina devise a plan to use men to remove debris with the least possible exposure."

From the script at :

You can see the roof has three
levels. We've named the sections--
that small one there is Katya. About
a thousand roentgen per hour. Presume
two hours of exposure is fatal.
(points again)
The one on the side-- Nina. Two
thousand roentgen. One hour, fatal.

(Tarakanov shakes his head. Hard to believe such a thing
could be true. Rocks. Rubble. A building.)

What about this large section?

(Legasov and Shcherbina fall silent. Then:)

(Tarakanov picks up the tone in the older man's voice.
Reverence. Or is it dread?)

Twelve thousand roentgen. If you
stood there in full protective gear,
head to toe-- you would receive a
lifetime dose in ninety seconds. At
two minutes, your life expectancy is
cut in half. By three minutes--
you're dead within months.

(Tarakanov looks down at the photo of MASHA. Graphite chunks
enlarged in the photo as blurred, ominous shadows...)

Even the lunar rovers won't work on
Masha. That amount of gamma radiation
penetrates everything. The particles
literally shred the circuits in
microchips apart. If it's more
complicated than a light switch,
Masha will destroy it.

I think it's fair to say this piece
of roof is the most dangerous place
on the planet.

Vodka not included.
